主要从事复杂网络分析以及其在社交网络分析和生物信息等交叉学科的应用。近年来，在包括IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems、BMC Bioinformatics、IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics和IEEE Transactions on NanoBioscience等重要期刊发表多篇论文，是IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering国际SCI杂志的审稿人。
